The period from birth till the time a child reaches the age of 8 is considered as early childhood. It is this stage of life that is littered with remarkable growth and exceeding brain development. Each child is significantly influenced by what they see, feel and listen for these eight years. The surrounding environment and people are the two factors that create the foundation for the future. It is why early childhood care and education is vital. When we talk about early education, we are not limiting to the preparation for primary school.
At this phase, education is the holistic development of a kid’s brain. It is inclusive of:

- physical needs
- combating educational inequalities
- compensating for the disadvantages in the family
The aim is to create a robust core that is broad enough to sustain learning and wellbeing for the entire lifetime. When the right early education is offered to a child it increases the possibility of building humans and adults that are:

- responsible future citizens
It is why teaching at an early stage is vital. It is an investment every person and country should make. Only then will gender equality, social cohesion and promotion of human resources will happen.
